Reggie Roberg
Regenold Von Retriever “Reggie” Roberg III of Afton, Iowa passed away on July 22, 2020 at 13 years of age. Reggie was born on July 4, 2007 on the Galen Crozier farm in Adams County, Iowa, and was adopted by Denise Roberg on August 29 of the same year.
The first year of his life was spent in Ames while his mom finished school at Iowa State University. Reggie and Denise then moved to rural Union County, where they enjoyed the country life. In 2017, he went from being an only child, to part of a pack when Jethro De Lisle and his four Italian greyhounds came to live on the property. Reggie enjoyed daily walks around the yard with his pack and eventually—reluctantly—welcomed in a new family member: Flash, a stray farm cat.
A sweet and gentle soul, Reggie enjoyed cuddling, road trips, camping, walks, hogging the bed, and visiting family—especially Grandpa and Grandma. True to his breed, Reggie would retrieve just about anything: toys, sticks, and even rocks. Reggie was happy, endearing, and playful, but also had a stoic side.
Reggie is survived by his parents, Denise Roberg and Jethro De Lisle of Afton, and step-siblings Army, Caesar, Zoey, and Flash. He was preceded in death by step-brother and OG pack leader, Tykko.
