Tobie O’Hare

Tobie Lulu O’Hare of Tucson, Arizona passed away on October 21, 2023 at the age of 12 years and 10 months.

A mixed terrier, Tobie was born around Christmas of 2010—her birthday was celebrated each year on December 25. She was adopted by Mary O’Hare on April 19, 2011.

While she loved couch naps with her mom and staycations with Aunt Carol and Uncle Bruce or sleepovers at the Cochran/Behl Hotel, where her friends Maisy and Molly lived, Tobie also liked to get out and explore. An adventure dog in the truest sense, Tobie was always keen to go for a ride (all the way to the beach, if possible) and she was a great lover of hiking (especially on Mt. Lemmon).

Tobie turned ill in July of 2022 and was only given a couple of weeks to live, but with a strong support network and loving hospice care at her grandparents’ home while her mom worked during the day, she lived to see Mary and Alex wed on May 5, 2023—the family sentiment is that she wanted to have a Daddy.

Tobie is survived by parents Mary O’Hare and Alex Davidson and sister Flash of Tucson, Arizona; grandparents John and Janet O’Hare and aunt Turbo of Tucson, Arizona; aunt Jessica Witt (Kyle) and cousins Riley and Aiden Witt of Fullerton, California; and aunt Erin O’Hare (Csilla Csaplar) and cousin Jasper of Aptos, California.
